Production & Planning

Novosales supports a unique production model that takes into account both planning and execution, in order to give you end-to-end business process transparency. You can view, create and change production models and all their related data via a production bill of material and a bill of operations. Below is the quick scope

  •    You can assign input products from a production bill of material to activities in production runs.
  •    Once a production plan has been created, you can release it to supply planning and production execution so employees are using a consistent version of the production plan.
  •    You can also define the components that make up a product – including descriptions, quantities and units of measure – in a bill of material.
  •    You can dynamically create and measure cost of batch creation, make amendments to components costing parameters and arrive at new costs. Helpful in arriving dynamic costs for each product at new raw material rates.
  •    You can link the bill of material and bill of operations needed to manufacture an assembly or finished product and you can view stock levels for intermediate parts during execution.
  •    You can even define several product variants within one bill of material.
  •    You can also define how a product should be produced, down to the operations and activities needed to manufacture a product.
  •    Supports discrete, repetitive process and mixed-mode environment & continuous as well as batch process manufacturing.
  •    Supports co-product and by-product manufacturing.
  •    You can check component availability and even perform substitute for the items.
  •    Linking of demand management allows you to identify different demand types and assign them to different fulfillment strategies, such as make to stock and assemble to order.
  •    Plan and consolidate procurement requirements, creating feasible production plans along with determining and confirming realistic delivery dates.
  •    You can define production processes including standard or specific quality checks in the production plan; You can determine capacity utilization and plan resources during production runs for the plans.
  •    Identify bottleneck resources and carry out rescheduling functions accordingly, such as load leveling and adjustments to supplies on all levels
  •    In addition, you can evaluate the cost for utilizing resources within financials and actual costs of each production run with wastages, scraps and by products costs.
